Indoor Tournament!

Provided my shins are good to go, I’m planning on forming a team. If you’re interested, please post a comment here. It would be great to form 2 – 3 teams of MNU and FNU players. Competition at this one should be more our level (IE not 100% Doublewiders and Showdown), so I’m certain it will be loads of fun.

Lemme know what you think!

Also, we are planning on having 1 – 2 pickup days of indoor ulti. Very low key, just playing for fun. So if you want to get a feel for it, that would be a great opportunity.

Well, everyone is complaining about the heat. I can’t solve it outdoors but we’ve got a solution to stay air conditioned and playing ultimate. Austin will be hosting its second Indoor tourney August 17^th. It will be a coed 4-1 tourney. Teams must have 7 players but can have no more than 10. $150 before August 1^st. and $175 afterwards. and all bids must be paid by August 10^th. Bids are considered when payment has been received. We will be accepting 10-12 bids.

It will be the new indoor soccer facility here in Austin. Those of you who played last time know it’s a blast.

Pickup 6/6

So let’s try out this blog as an alternative to emails thing. If it just isn’t working out for people, we can always go back to the email system. I’m just hoping that it won’t be any more work for anyone (and that it will allow me to keep everything in one place!). I’ll post a poll in a week or so to see what everyone thinks….

Here’s how it works: comment your RSVP. That way everyone can see if we have enough people to play 🙂 I usually call game on anytime after we get more than 8 players. Most people don’t respond (but we’re hoping to start getting a better response rate). Please continue to RSVP if you’ve already been doing so. And if you haven’t – please try to. It only takes a second but it helps us make sure the 20 minute drive to the field isn’t in vain.

Since this is the first week, your comment will be held in queue for “moderation”. I’m approving any comment that isn’t computer spam, but sadly it’s a precaution I have to take. Once you have one approved post, any following posts won’t be moderated. Spambots suck, so sorry I have to delay the approval process.
